Historical Significance:
The flagpole was given to the library on July 3, 1999, and on Flag Day of the following year, the DAR marker was placed. Havasu Chapter, NSDAR, presented this flagpole that flies two flags as an enhancement gift to the County library. It honors the work the chapter has done to sponsor essay contests to support literacy in education, one of the NSDAR principles.
