Historical Significance:        
This elm tree was planted in memory of George Washington, first president of United States of America. The Yuma Courthouse is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Dedication: 
February 5, 1931
Rededicated in 1987 to commemorate US Constitution Bicentennial (1787-1987)
